Downtown
Hoboken started as a project in the Permeke Public Library in Antwerp,
where the visitors were invited to participate in this art project by
posing for a portrait. Without their name, age, profession, studies or
religion, these portraits only show how someone looks. The series of
paintings is installed as one combined work of 54 paintings. Oil paint
on canvas, the total size is 50cm by 1620cm.
